Age 68, passed away at her home on April 12, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Kalamazoo on February 27, 1954, the daughter of the late Gordon B. Andersen and Mary E. Carosella. Cheryl had a zest for life and a passion for relationships. She was outgoing, friendly and a great conversationalist. Her kind smile and sense of humor allowed her to make friends and memories wherever she went. She loved a day out going shopping and to garage sales, was always up to date on fashion and never left the house without her lipstick. Cheryl had a strong faith in the Lord and attended church at St. Catherine of Siena in Portage and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Battle Creek. She also enjoyed spending time outdoors. Cheryl loved animals and was passionate about her pet dogs who she spoiled. Above all, Cheryl loved her family, was especially proud of her children and grandchildren and leaves behind many wonderful memories to be cherished. She is survived by her husband of many years, Lynn Meisterheim; two children, Paul (Dana Silva) Haynes, Jennifer (Troy) Tuyls; stepson, Chad (Amy) Meisterheim; four grandchildren, Maxwell Silva, Troy Andrew Tuyls, Cayenne and Griffin Meisterheim; sister Christina Barber; nephew, Nicholas Miller; her beloved pet “Toby”; many other family and friends. She was also preceded in passing by her brother, John Andersen. |
