Early morning on June 21, 2022, loving wife and mother, Robin Veley, passed away peacefully at the age of 68.
Robin was born in Chicago on October 29, 1953, to Lee and Ruth Rawley. She was the youngest of three daughters. When she turned eighteen, she moved to Michigan and made a home in Paw Paw when she married Michael Veley in 1992. Together they raised five children: Rachel (Jonjevic) Sinclair, Paul Jonjevic, Jared Jonjevic, Christopher Veley, and Kelly (Veley) Ray. They are blessed with sixteen grandchildren.
Robin was a librarian at the Van Buren District Library for 25+ years. She had a passion for reading, which made working at the library a perfect fit! She was also gifted at arts and crafts. Robin dabbled in everything from painting to woodworking, but her true love was sewing and quilting. She is known for her beautiful quilts that she lovingly shared with many.
Together, Robin and Mick loved to travel. Branson, Missouri was one of their favorite places to visit. They also enjoyed going to the flea market and garage sales. You could also find them at almost every one of the grandchildren’s events, whether it be births, games, dance recitals, graduations, or weddings.
Gloria Duval and Barbara Foote were not only Robin’s sisters, but also some of her dearest friends. Tula Burzic was her childhood best friend, and they continued their friendship throughout adulthood. Judy Sweet was also a lifelong friend. There wasn’t a day that went by that she didn’t talk to at least one of them.
Robin was a strong woman who loved with all of her heart and was loved dearly.
