Alisha Teresa Tree was born August 19, 1967, to JoAnn Egli Tree and Phillip Norman Tree in Provo, Utah. She died surrounded by family and friends on March 1, 2024. Alisha was blessed with many miracles during her life and was able to overcome and manage several extreme physical challenges. She lived most of her life in the Kalamazoo, Michigan area and enjoyed participating in all that the community had to offer her. She graduated from Loy Norrix High School and spent years attending programs, such as YAP, for adults with disabilities. During this time, she was recognized with a special award for advocating for more effective community programing for herself and others with special needs. As a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the gospel of Jesus Christ was very precious to her. She often shared her testimony through music and The Book of Mormon. Her great enthusiasm for the gospel led to multiple caregivers and friends joining the church. Alisha was a music enthusiast, including being the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square’s number one fan, a regular concertgoer and always happiest when music was playing in the background of her daily life. She is well known for decades of exuberant singing during church services and had memorized all 341 songs in the hymnal. She possessed an extraordinary memory which meant she never forgot anyone’s birthday and was often called upon to help other family members recollect needed information. She loved her family dearly and attended countless celebrations and events with her many siblings, nieces and nephews. Besides family, she had a very special relationship with some of the women who taught her and helped care for her during her life. They were often touched by the compassion and concern Alisha showed for them and their lives. Alisha was also known for being a jokester who loved to tease and bring smiles to family and friends. She loved spending time on her computer and was an avid writer who complied thousands of pages of personal journals during her life. She is preceded in death by her mother, father and nephew. She is survived by her siblings, Elizabeth (Neal), Phillip (Carol), Adrian, Melissa (Geoffrey), Andrea (Isidoro), Tonya (Jared), Kristina (Lee), 28 nieces/nephews and 5 grand-nieces/nephews. The family requests that any who are interested please click the link below to share a memory of Alisha for all to enjoy! https://www.kudoboard.com/boards/LWZVEALK
