It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jeffrey Michael Walton, a beloved son, brother and uncle. Jeff passed away unexpectedly on January 31st, 2025. Jeff is survived by his parents, Beverly Kelley and David Walton; siblings Mary (David) DeBoer and Ken (Leah) Walton; nieces, Lindsey DeBoer and Evie Walton; and nephew, Nicholas Sutherby-Walton. Jeff was most proud of his work at Ryder. He dedicated 23 years there and was integral of its success. He was well liked by his peers and formed a special bond with his boss, Mike Niland. Jeff considered Mike a true friend and was grateful for the compassion and support Mike shared. Jeff prided himself on optimizing processes, if there was a more efficient way to accomplish something, he would uncover it. In his tenure in inventory control, he made numerous contributions and was a stickler for accuracy. Perhaps his most enviable characteristic was his quick wit. Jeff was sharp as a tack and demonstrated that daily with jokes and light-hearted barbs; no one wanted to challenge him when it came to comedy or politics. Jeff was a quiet soul, who found comfort in spending time at his home. He enjoyed industrial music and going to concerts with friends. He liked playing his PlayStation and never passed up a scary movie. His presence may have been subtle, but those who were fortunate enough to know him will remember his sense of humor, kind heart, big smile and generous nature. |
