Jean Denise Sweet age 66 of Kalamazoo passed away Sunday evening April 5, 2026. Jean was born in Kalamazoo on April 15, 1959, the daughter of William and Pauline Sweet. Jean was a free spirit who loved music and dancing. She had a close relationship with the Lord. Nothing was more important to her than her family. Jean had a strong influence on many people and everyone who knew her counted it as a blessing. Her life wasn’t always easy but she had a strong spirit and fought to the end. Jean is survived by her children, Michelle Sweet and William Christopher (Michelle Livingston) Sweet; grandchildren, Mary Bradford, Sean Bradford, Trennon Sweet, Elizabeth Jean “Ellie” Sweet; sisters, Kathy Morgan and Deb Dehorn; nieces and nephews; and many friends including her special friend and partner, Robert Strong. Jean was preceded in death by her parents; her stepmother, Susan Sweet; and an infant brother. | |
