Our family is happy to commemorate the life of Jeanette Lee Wyatt. Born in Kalamazoo, MI, Jeannie Webber was a mother, grandmother, companion, and friend. Her natural good will and pleasant temperament made her a joy to be around. Proud of her ability to sit with the broken and love the unlovable, she was a mainstay as a good listener and story teller for all those who treasured her company. Jeanette loved to laugh and was generous to a fault. She gave when she had next to nothing, secreting money out to those who found her a sympathetic ear. She also was a straight shooter, unafraid to tell you the truth and not wanting to mince her words. A hard worker and retiree of Pharmacia, she made the courageous decision to return to school as an adult to receive her diploma. She was deeply in love with Jesus, and loved to pray Psalm 103. She loved University of Michigan football, baseball, and the Olympics. She never missed an episode of BlueBloods and loved QVC. Jeanette loved driving her Buicks throughout the country, road tripping to Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, and more. Every Christmas and Easter, she had bags of chocolate she put together for each of her kids and grandkids that were celebrating with her. As great grandkids were added, bags with Nilla Wafers and M&Ms appeared for “Peanut” and “Snookie”. Jeanette was preceded in death by her daughter Donna LaVaughn and Sharon Webber. She is survived by her three remaining children – Norma (Sam) Ash, Norman (Lori) Wyatt, and Lolita (Bob) DeYoung. They gather in grieving with her eight grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren. Her family is thankful for the love, well-wishes and prayer in their loss. However, we know that when someone passes who knows Jesus, they never lose. |
