Diane Carol Robertson age 82 of Augusta passed away Sunday, September 6, 2026. Diane was born in Petoskey, MI, on November 4, 1943, the daughter of John and Helen (Buckner) Smiley. On December 28, 1964, she married Lawrence “Larry” Robertson who survives her. Diane was an avid reader. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting. She baked and her blueberry cake will be remembered by her family. Her favorite song was “You Are My Sunshine,” right up until the end when she heard it sung just before her passing. Besides her husband Diane is survived by her children, Cherri Aguilar, Sandy (Sherri) Robertson, Kathy Morton; grandchildren, Bethany Parsons, Marta (Abner) Aguilar-Alexis, Gil (Benji) Meija, Justen (Katy) Robertson, Shannen (Shawn Murray) Robertson, Alex (Ares) Morton; nine great-grandchildren; brother, George (Shelley) Buckner; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. Diane was preceded in death by her parents; and an infant brother.
