Dan & Kylee Adams, Owner/Manager

A Licensed Funeral Director since 2007, Dan is a graduate of Western Michigan University, and Worsham College of Mortuary Science. He and his brother, Gabe began working at Joldersma and Klein in 2007 and were excited about purchasing the business in 2009. Dan lives above the funeral home with his wife Kylee, and their three children Ella, Owen and David; who attend Kalamazoo Christian Schools. Dan serves as the manager for J&K where his wife, Kylee serves as an administrative assistant. They believe that Joldersma and Klein is a funeral home families come to when they want to be treated like family and that providing great personal service at a fair price is the foundation of creating a funeral home that is family owned, operated, and oriented. When not serving families, they enjoy spending time with their children, being outdoors, attending sporting and theater events. Dan and his wife are members of First United Methodist Church on Park St.

Gabe & Holly Adams, Owner

A Licensed Funeral Director since 1997, Gabe is a graduate of Ferris State University and Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He and his brother, Dan began working at Joldersma & Klein in 2007 and were excited about purchasing the business in 2009. Gabe is the manager of Hohner Funeral Home in Three Rivers. Holly serves as a full time administrative assistant at the Hohner location. They live in Three Rivers, along with their two children, Isaac and Anabele. Gabe is a member of the Lions Club of Three Rivers, Rotary International, and they attend First United Methodist Church of Three Rivers. When not serving families, they enjoy spending time with their children, golfing, and traveling. They are always available and honored to serve.

Bradley W. Bell, LFD, Manager of Funeral Service Operations

A Licensed Funeral Director since 2010, Brad has served families in many capacities at the funeral home since high school. He is a graduate of Parchment High School, Kalamazoo Valley Community College and American Academy McAllister Institute for Funeral Service. Brad is a life-long resident of Southwest Michigan, growing up in Parchment. He now resides in Battle Creek with his daughter, Elizabeth who attends Lakeview Middle School. He is a dedicated member of our staff and believes in serving families as he would want his served. Brad has served on several boards including as a trustee on the board of directors for both Michigan HOSA (Health Occupation Students of American) and National Hosa, Inc. He is a member of the Gull Lake Country Club and Battle Creek Country Club. Brad enjoys boating, hunting, snowmobile trips to the Upper Peninsula, camping and spending time with his family.

Thomas M. Folkert, Planning and Services Director

Tom’s family has been in funeral service for over a century. He has been in funeral service full-time since 1987. He has worked in several areas of funeral service having been an Advance Planning Advisor, Funeral Home Consultant and as Vice President of large funeral home. Tom attended Hope College where he studied music. In his spare time, he enjoys working on his mid-century home on Kalamazoo’s West Side, and being bossed around by his dog, Charlie. Tom believes that excellence in funeral service comes from being sensitive and caring.

Heidi Rehm, Receptionist - Administrative Assistant

Heidi has been a resident of the Kalamazoo/Richland area since 1978. She has a degree in marine biology from the University of North Carolina – Wilmington. Heidi is married to Chris and they have twin daughters, Montana and Sierra. They are also doggie parents to Boxers, Viper and Stout. In her spare time, Heidi enjoys camping, kayaking, and spending time with friends and family.

Max Sine, LFD, Chief Embalmer

Max is a native Greater Kalamazoo resident. He graduated from the Mortuary Science Department of Wayne State University and has been a Licensed Funeral Director since 1981. Previously, Max had a career as an embalmer and funeral director, having worked for over 33 years at another funeral home in the area. Max is married to Barb, and they are parents to two adult daughters, Sara and Teresa. They are also doggie parents to Zippy, the wonder dog. In his spare time, Max volunteers at Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes. Max and Barb are members at St. Catherine of Siena Church. Max also enjoys riding his BMW motorcycle. Formerly, he was active in playing hockey on several local amateur leagues.
