In accordance with her wish cremation will take place and a “party” will be held at her request. Susanna fought the good fight and finished the race; in her own words, “It’s more than just a hallelujah on Sunday!” Memorials may be made to Western Day’s Ministry, c/o the funeral home.
Obituary
Susanna Sowle, age 68, went home into the arms of her loving savior Jesus Christ on October 9, 2026. She was born in Kalamazoo on October 7, 1958, the daughter of Erwin and Ida (Czechin) Haase. To know Susanna was to love her and to know that she loved the Lord. She had a strong faith which impacted the lives of those around her. She helped found Western Day’s Ministry through which she shared the Gospel and impacted countless lives. Her faith in the Lord remained evident even through her battle with cancer. Susanna was the definition of courage and faith. On March 9, 2013, she married her loving husband, Brian Sowle. They made their home in Allegan and lived many happy days. Susanna loved God’s world. She enjoyed being outdoors and was an avid hunter, always looking for the next White Tail. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and her heart and home were always open to those in need. Susanna was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend who leaves behind the legacy of a life well lived. She is survived by her husband Brian Sowle; son, Wyatt Sowle; father, Erwin Haase; siblings, Joe (Jan) Haase, Fred (Kathy) Haase, Margaret (Lee Russcher) Haase, Mike (Joyce) Haase; many nieces, nephews, and extended family in Christ. She was preceded in passing by her mother, Ida Haase.
