Saundra E. Nie age 90 of Portage, passed away Friday evening, October 16, 2026. Saundra was born in Kalamazoo on January 28, 1936, the daughter of Francis Leroy and Hazelle Ellen (Howland) Goodman. She was married to Thomas Nie who preceded her death in 1996. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and going shopping. She loved spending time with her friends and family. Saundra is survived by her children, Sharyn Schlueter, Karyn Nie, Kathryn (Brent Parker) Rooney-Parker and Bryan (Alley Meisch-Nie) Nie; grandchildren, Kevin, Laura, Matthew, Lindsey, Natalie, Jamie, Jaclyn, Tabytha; three great grandchildren; brother, Thomas (June) Goodman; several nieces and nephews; many friends. Besides her husband, Saundra was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters.
