In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place and a private family memorial will be held.

Obituary

Age 87 passed away at Bronson Commons on April 30, 2018, with family at her side. She was born in Kalamazoo, the daughter of the late Norman and Lucy (Kipp) Grovenburgh. Florence was a kind, gentle and loving woman who will be greatly missed by her family and friends. On February 14, 1947, she married the love of her life Delton H. Swindell who preceded her in passing in 2015. She was a hard worker who retired from Bronson Hospital where she worked in Environmental Services. She also worked at other various jobs to help provide for her family. When not working Florence loved spending time in garden, feeding the hummingbirds or reading a good book. Above all Florence loved her family and leaves them with wonderful memories to cherish. She is survived by five children, Linda Swindell, Candace (Gene) Marlow, Sandra Long, Terry Swindell, and Harvey Swindell; five grandchildren, Lori Gale, Amanda Steffey, Tonya Adams, Danny (Robin) Rowe and Duane Swindell; eleven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also preceded in passing by a daughter, Deborah Swindell and five siblings.

Rest In Peace Flo. I did not know you real well but I know my cousins (Scofield) always spoke of you with much love. I do remember going to your moms house when I was younger and the great food and the family fun. You will be missed.
