James M. Wilkey
June 14, 1967 – October 5, 2020
Jim will be laid to rest with his fellow veterans at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, following private full military honors. Those wishing to leave a lasting gift in Jim’s memory are asked to remember the West Michigan Cancer Center.
Obituary
Age 53, passed away on October 5, 2020. Jim was born on June 14, 1967, in Battle Creek, the son of Michael and Linda (Crane) Wilkey. Jim proudly served his nation in the U. S. Army. Jim was a great outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was proud of his work as a journeyman through Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #357. Jim enjoyed cooking out and grilling. He enjoyed endless conversations about trains. He was a voracious reader. Jim is survived by his sons, Mitchell Wilkey of Kalamazoo, Clayton (Madison Spry) Wilkey of South Bend; granddaughter, Austin Rae Wilkey; his parents, Michael and Linda Wilkey of Scotts; sister, Lynnette Huffstutter of Kalamazoo.
