Cremation will take place and a memorial service to honor and celebrate his life will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024, beginning at 12:00pm, at Journey Family Church 514 West Van Buren St., Gobles, MI 49055. The family will receive friends for a visitation at the church beginning at 11:00 am, one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be directed towards Ty’s education fund (checks payable to Mandi Elsman), c/o the funeral home
Obituary
Age 49, passed away on October 7, 2024. He was born in Kalamazoo, MI. Nathan was kind, generous and loving. He had a warm smile and was a joy to know. He attended Delton High School where he found a love for sports. He excelled at hockey, a passion he would later share with his son Tyler. After graduating high school, he began working and was employed at USG in Otsego, MI. When not working he loved spending time on the open road riding his motorcycle, playing a round of golf or paintballing with his friends. He also enjoyed attending K-Wings games with his father and son. He was an involved father and enjoyed attending Ty’s baseball games. Nathan loved his family and his friends and though gone too soon he leaves behind many wonderful memories to cherish. Nathan is survived by his only son, Tyler Mulligan and his mother, Mandi (Tom) Elsman; parents, Michael (Patricia) Mulligan and Linda Fay; sister, Lisa VanTress; two half-siblings, Elio Percic and Ryan Mulligan; significant other, Kelina Mannon; aunt, Jackie Bloom; aunt and uncle, Terry (Delbert) Burr; many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in passing by his grandparents, Stanley (Ruth) Black and Wesley (Phyllis) Mulligan; stepfather, Michael Fay; uncle, Wesley Mulligan Jr.

I worked with Nate at USG, he was a wonderful person and friend. He was always helpful, and kind and I will miss working and talking with him. My love and prayers go out to the family at this time. He kept me laughing and he was always willing to share a story that would entertain and make me feel like family. Going to miss you bud!
