Friends may call on the family one hour prior to the service at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m. Almon will be laid to rest at Ft. Custer National Cemetery with full military honors. Memorial contributions may be given to Thornapple Manor, in c/o the funeral home.

Age 96, was welcomed into the heavenly home prepared for him by his Savior late Wednesday night, December 13, 2023. Almon was born in Lansing, MI, on March 4, 1927, the son of William Emerson and Iva Pearl (Griffith) Fulton. In 1948, he married Barbara Ellen Warner who preceded him in death in 1988. Together, Almon and Barbara raised a family. He married Audrey Dafoe in 1990 and she preceded him in death in 2019. Almon proudly served his nation in the United States Army. Almon was an ordained minister in the Church of the Nazarene. He served congregations in Alpena, Pickford, Hastings, Kalamazoo, Weidman and Boyne City, where he was a trusted spiritual guide and friend to many. Almon is survived by a daughter, Nancy (Burke) Houghtalin of Hastings; grandchildren, B Lee (Penny Koan) Houghtalin IV, Stacy Lee (Tim) Hunt, Jeanine (Randy Pieske) Benson, Andrew (Cynthia) Harmon; great grandchildren, Nick, Alexis, Katie, Mary, Daniel, David, Adam; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and countless friends. Besides his wives, Almon was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Thomas Fulton and Scott Fulton; great-great granddaughter, Evelyn Benson; brother, Robert James (Lois) Fulton; sister, Dorothy A. (Bernard) West.
