Aristene “Rene” Sausaman age, 89 of Portage passed away Tuesday March 10, 2026, at Centrica Rose Arbor Place. Aristene was born August 9, 1936, in Kalamazoo the daughter of David and Aristene (Griffith) Adams. She was a member of New Apostolic Church of Portage, and she enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking, flower and vegetable gardening, being a mom, and grandmother and loved to spend time together in Wellston, Michigan. On July 3, 1954, in Kalamazoo Aristene was united in marriage to Dale Sausaman who preceded her in death on April 17, 2017. Also preceding her in death were her parents; son-n-law, Terry Smith, six brothers; one sister. Surviving are four daughters, Trena Smith of Portage, Ginger Kimmel-Andersen of Portage, Kathy (Wayne) Johncock of Wellston, Bonnie (Kevin) Miller of Gobles; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.
