A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Ever Rest Memorial Park, 3941 S. Westnedge, Kalamazoo. Memorial contributions may be made to Park Place Assisted Living, c/o the funeral home.

Age 91, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2019. Ava was born in Naylor, MO, on September 19, 1928, the daughter of Jessie and Effie (Langley) Lane. She was married to Glendon “Smokey” Lane who preceded her in death in 2002. Ava will be remembered as being a great wife, mother, and grandmother. Besides her work at home, she enjoyed working in production at Beach Paper Products. In their earlier years, she and Glendon enjoyed traveling. Ava is survived by her son, David (Suellen) Lane of Portage; grandchildren, David (Jennifer) Lane, Brendan (Samantha) Lane, Christopher (Katherine) Lane, Evan (Kayla) Lane; great-grandchildren, Connor, Caden, Liz, Eric, Mason, Madi, Cora, and Vivian. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
