Age 83, of Portage, went to be with the Lord on January 24, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Queens, NY, on January 22, 1942, the daughter of the late Hyden and Mildred (Woolley) Sizemore. Barb was a kind, loving and generous woman who leaves behind the legacy of a life well lived. She had a strong faith in the Lord and enjoyed being a member of her church family. She was a former member of Trinity Lutheran church and current member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. She believed in hard work and together with her husband Jim owned and operated a business for most of her life. Barb loved meeting new people and had many friends as well as a loyal cat, “Lovey”. She enjoyed playing Bridge, was on several bowling leagues, was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority group and visited often with her sorority friends. She had a passion for theater and was a regular supporter of the Red Barn Theater in Augusta. Barb loved spending summer days in Saugatuck, in the company of friends and family, boating, fishing and parking at “the cove”. Above all she loved her family and was especially proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her smile, laughter and joy will be missed by all who love her. On August 25, 1962, she married the love of her life, Jim M. Ziegler, who survives. She is also survived by three children, Carole (Ron) Selner, Jeffrey (Tonia) Ziegler, Julie (Ken) Couturier; grandchildren, Stephanie (Chris) Meewes, Ashley Selner, Alexis (Josh) Schoiber, Devin Ziegler, Ambre (John) Judd, Kyle, Amanda and Alisha Couturier; six great-grandchildren, Sammie, Hazel, Henry, Maeve, Nora and Leon; a sister, Doris Maehler; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
