Beth Ann passed away on January 21, 2021 after a brief illness. She was born in Kalamazoo on April 20, 1951, the daughter of Peter J. and Susie (Smit) Hoekman. Beth Ann was adored by her family and friends and will be dearly missed. Beth Ann was known for her kindness and her servant’s heart. She was a long-time member of Second Christian Reformed Church in Kalamazoo. Beth Ann worked as an EKG Technician and Respiratory Therapist for many years at Borgess Hospital. She had spent the last few years living at Park Place Assisted Living where she was a cherished friend and helper to many of the other residents and staff there. She was always ready with a smile and a “Hello there!” There was nothing that gave her more joy than making others feel special and cared for. She was a fierce domino player after Sunday dinner and loved to win. She was extremely devoted to her Dad, Peter Hoekman, in his later years and cared for him in her home. We are eternally grateful for the care and love she provided during that time. She was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves to cherish her memory her siblings, Dennis (Joyce) Hoekman, Nancy (Dennis) Althuis, nieces Dawn (Troy) Mepyans; Jessica (Derek) Albrecht; Jennifer (Bill) Dean and nephew Justin (Katie) Althuis.
