Age 58, passed away early Monday morning, May 3, 2021, surrounded by her family and many friends. Bethnova was born in Allegan, on December 3, 1962, the daughter of Merlyn and Barbara (Bradley) Shattuck. On June 13, 2015, she married Gilbert Newton, who survives her. Bethnova was a craft wizard. She loved crocheting and woodcrafting. She enjoyed activities with her grandkids. She had a huge heart and was always willing to help anyone. She was a loving person and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Besides her husband, Bethnova is survived by her children, Rosemary (Martina Glidden) Kindig of Kalamazoo, Jesse (Amanda Suttle) Kindig of Three Rivers, Michael Overholts of Kalamazoo; 5 grandchildren; brothers, William (Rosemary) Shattuck, Clifford Shattuck, Randy (Janice) Shattuck; several nieces and nephews; many adopted children; her fur babies, Boots and Goliath; and countless other friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Nicholas Overholts.
