Age 81 of Kalamazoo passed away Thursday November 13, 2025 at Villa at Borgess Place. Carolyn was born August 5, 1944 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Arthur and Adele (Nickel) Grunwaldt. She was a member of the first graduating class of Loy Norrix High School in 1962. She was employed as a dental hygienist, Kalamazoo County Jail matron, then she attended Bronson School of Nursing and received her RN degree and was employed for Bronson Hospital and retired from Borgess Medical Center. Carolyn was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, the Old Rod Gang, and she enjoyed reading and was a skilled artist. On July 2006 in Kalamazoo Carolyn was united in marriage to Richard Kuehl who preceded her in death on July 29, 2015. Also preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Paul Grunwaldt; two sisters, Nancy DeVries and Anita Grunwaldt She is survived by four nieces & nephews, Katie (Bill) Cody, Alice (Jon) Tomer, David (Cori) Grunwaldt, Darren (Carla) Grunwaldt; many great nieces and nephews.
