Age 53, of Portage, MI, passed away at Bronson Hospital on November 9, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Kalamazoo on September 24, 1972, the son of Frederick and Linda (Darnell) Bryan. Chris grew up in Portage and graduated from Portage Northern High School, Class of 1990. While in school he made many friends, was a member of the Portage Northern Song Leaders and was involved in musical theater productions. He would remain a lifelong resident of Portage settling down to raise a family. His smile, laughter and humor made him a joy to know. He worked hard at many jobs to provide for his family. He was a loving father and grandfather and watching the children grow was the joy of his life. Chris made many fond memories camping with his family at Pentwater, MI. He was a gifted photographer and loved music. He was a loyal Cubs and 49ers fan. Above all Chris loved his family and leaves behind many wonderful memories to cherish. On March 2, 2000, he married Michelle (Sauvageau) Bryan who survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Lily Byan; step-son, Luke Clark; granddaughters, Kinsley and Parker Jerry; parents, Fred and Linda; sister, Laura (Rich) Murray; nieces, Caitlyn Ankli, Sidney Murray and nephews, Noah Ankli, Brandon Murray; extended family and friends.
