Age 64, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2017. Dan was born in Plainwell, Michigan on May 19, 1953, the son of the late Fred and Margaret (Jager) Cowels. He was a hard-working retiree and enjoyed helping others, always willing to give a helping hand. Dan was an avid hunter and fisherman who thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors and freely gave advice to anyone on the matter. He was a kind soul and will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by his brother, James “Tiny” Cowels. He is survived by his only son, Travis Arbelius; significant other, Diana Krogmann; special friends, Rick, Matt and Donny and many extended family members.
