Deborah was born on November 26, 1956, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Deborah attended Vicksburg High School, where she met her husband, Morris Giddings, to whom she was married from 1974 until his passing in 2023. She graduated from Schoolcraft High School in 1974, marking the beginning of a life full of meaningful relationships and memories.
She owned and operated Deb & Zydeco’s Sports Page, a popular restaurant in Vicksburg, from 2000 to 2002. She later worked at WKW, where she retired in 2024, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and commitment.
Deborah found happiness in life’s simple pleasures and in the adventures she shared with those she loved. In her younger years, she bowled on a league at Airway Lanes. She spent her summers camping at Miles Cove Campground in Gobles, Michigan, where campfires, family, friends, and laughter filled her days. She loved traveling and especially enjoyed cruises—most recently to Nassau, Bahamas and Mexico. Some of her fondest memories were the annual summer trips she took with her husband and children to Cedar Point. At home, she found peace in watching the birds outside her window and admiring the beauty of blooming flowers.
Deborah was a deeply caring soul. She was quietly reserved around strangers, but once she felt comfortable, she would open up and reveal a delightfully silly and playful side. She had a special gift for accidentally coming up with silly phrases or sayings that still bring smiles today, long after they were first shared. One friend beautifully captured her spirit, describing her as having “a great laugh with just a hint of trouble”—a perfect reflection of the joy and mischief she carried in her heart.
At the heart of Deborah’s life was an unwavering love for family. She valued her relationships above all else, cherishing every moment spent with her daughters, grandchildren, partner, and all those she held dear. This was her greatest joy—a legacy of love that will live on in all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving partner, Allen Reynolds; her devoted daughters, Amy (Larry) Dahl, Amanda (Timothy) Krohn, and Misti (David Mahon, Chris Scheibel) Mahon; and her treasured grandchildren — Abigayle and LJ Dahl, Kristian Krohn, Miles Mahon — as well as Vilaiwan Li, her exchange student granddaughter from Thailand, who held a special place in her heart. She also leaves behind her younger brothers, Jerry Harris and Michael Harris.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Morris Giddings; her mother, Nancy Roelof; and her father, Jerry Harris.
