Age 71 of Kalamazoo passed away Wednesday November 12, 2025 at home. Debra was born August 18, 1954 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Jesse and Erma (Crawford) Hanford. She graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School and owned Discount Cleaning Service before retiring. Debra enjoyed golfing, softball, track and was a wonderful mother. On February 15, 1975 in Kalamazoo Debra was united in marriage to Bruce Steck who survives. Also surviving are 4 children, Tammy Steck, Angela (Randy) Hatfield, Jim (Lisa) Steck, David Steck; 9 grandchildren, Dylan, Kody, Patrick, Jessie, Kyle, Joel, Paige, Zachary, and Devon; great-granddaughter, Olivia; brother, Larry (Joyce) Hanford; niece, Kimberly Krussel; nephew, Mike Hanford. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Dave Hanford. Memorial contributions may be made to West Michigan Cancer Center, c/o the funeral home.
