Della Thomas, age 78, passed away at Centrica Rose Arbor Place on March 18, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. She was born in the hills of Manchester, KY, on August 3, 1947, one of ten children to the late Henry and Elizabeth (Runion) Campbell. Della would later make Southwest Michigan her home. On September 21, 1967, she married the love of her life, Theo Thomas who preceded her in passing in 2013. Della and Theo began a family and settled into the Parchment area. Throughout her life Della worked at both Bronson and Borgess Hospitals. She was a loving mother, proud grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed watching college basketball and always cheered for her Kentucky Wildcats to make a deep run in March. She found peace and serenity while working in her flower garden and yard around the home. She loved hosting holiday events where all were welcome and food was plentiful. She also enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino to try her luck. Her outgoing and social personality made Della fun to spend time with, and she leaves behind the legacy of a life well lived. She leaves to cherish her memory, three sons, Daryl Thomas, Gilbert (Heather) Thomas, Raleigh Thomas; grandchildren, Ashley (Ray) Roberts, Lela Thomas, Daryl Thomas Jr., Dalton Thomas, Brittani (David Granado) Thomas, Chloe (Zac Matthis) Thomas, Braxton Thomas, Braylee Thomas, Micah Thomas, Barbara Thomas; several great-grandchildren; brother, Paul (Vicki) Campbell; many extended family and friends. She was also preceded in passing by several siblings.
