Age 88, of Kalamazoo and formerly Detroit’s east side, passed away Sunday morning, April 21, 2024. Dorothy was born in Detroit, MI on October 4, 1935, the daughter of John and Theresa (Sommer) Musser. In August of 1953, she married Robert Maszlewski who preceded her in death in 2020. Dorothy enjoyed playing slot machines at the casino. She also was an avid shopper and loved it when she could find a good deal. Nothing was more important to her than her family. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Even the week before she died she was concerned for their well-being. Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Sue (Randy) Copeland and Nancy DeMuro; her grandchildren, Aaron (Anne), Ryan (Alexandra), Jessica (James), Marc (Courtney), Robert and Luc (Kathryn); great-grandchildren, Xander, Chloe, Marie, Anthony, Susan, Cooper, Christine, Sophia; nephews and nieces, Gary (Maria) Winters, Laurie Ruby, Diane Winters, Kathy (Diane Ruimveld) Winters; cousin, John (Diane) Musser, Jr. and many, many friends. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Rick DeMuro; sister, Anna (Ray) Winters; brother, Jack Musser.
