Custer National Cemetery in May of 2019. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project or the USO.

Age 93, passed away on Friday, October 26, 2018. He was born on September 19, 1925, in Dayton, Ohio to Joseph George and Viola Grassi. Woody was married to Ruth (Trissel) Grassi on August 15, 1953. He proudly and honorably served his country during World War II in the United States Navy in the Pacific Theatre, driving landing craft. After WWII, Woody transferred to the United States Air Force where he was a master mechanic with Jet Engineering. He retired from the military after 38 years of service. Woody loved to travel and was very much an outdoorsman. He also loved hunting, fishing and shooting. Woody was a devoted family man and grandfather and leaves to cherish his memory, his sons, Woody (Peggy) Grassi and Daniel (Jhen) Grassi; as well has his beloved grandchildren, Jessica, Danielle, Russell, Spencer, Alexa and Austin. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Lilah and Remmington.
