Age 88, passed away on March 3, 2024, in Kalamazoo, MI. She was born in Washington, DC, on December 13, 1935, the daughter of the late William and Mary (Robinson) Contos. She was raised in D.C. and later met and married Charles R. Chandler who preceded her in passing on February 12, 1998.  She worked for the Central Intelligence Agency for a short time. Later she would make her home in Michigan and began raising a family. Emma worked hard to provide a happy home where all were made to feel welcome. Emma enjoyed travel, cooking, and entertaining. Her other hobbies included playing cards, word games and puzzles. She was kind, generous and loving. She will be missed by those who knew her. Above all Emma loved her family and was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by four children, Derek (Michele) Chandler, Mark Chandler, Carolyn Chandler and Theresa Page; grandchildren, Gabrielle, Victoria, Brenna, Olyvia and Nikolas Chandler, Jordan Loding and Matthew Drozdowski; great-grandchildren, Gianna and Violet Chandler, Cameron Hazen, Khalil Deonte Jackson, Viktoria and Ethan Drozdowski; siblings, Amelia and George Contos.
