Frances, age 83, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2019. Frances was born in Detroit, MI, on January 1, 1936, the only child of the late Francis and Margaret (Blaser) Boshaw. Frances worked at J.B. Webb Co. in Detroit where she met Richard Glass. They were married on March 7, 1958. Frances also worked for Rinshed-Mason in Detroit, Saga Foods at Kalamazoo College and Plunkett Cooney in their Kalamazoo Office. She and Richard were members of Portage United Church of Christ (PUCC) for over 54 years. Frances was active in the community volunteering at the KIA Art Fair, The USTA Boys’ National Championships, Kalamazoo in Bloom, Kalamazoo Senior Services, Meals on Wheels, and Loaves and Fishes. She also served in numerous positions at PUCC over the years. Frances enjoyed skiing, tennis, theater, reading, gardening and beating family and friends at cards and various board games. She and Richard traveled to six continents as well as throughout the United States. Frances is survived by her husband, Richard; children, Scott Glass, Nancy Glass, and Thomas (his partner Paul Fleming) Glass; granddaughter, Erika Glass; and many friends.
