Gordon Patric

March 20, 1927 - January 17, 2018

In accordance with his wishes cremation will take place and a memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018, beginning at 10:30 AM, at Centerpoint Church, 2345 10th St. Kalamazoo, MI 49009. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 9:30 AM. Interment will be at Fort Custer National Cemetery with military honors.

Dr. Patrick was one of my favorite professors at Liberty University back in 1982-3. He was a quiet man with a great intellect. He was always gracious but pushed me to think through ideas and their applications in real life. I think I had a close understanding of his experiences in Vietnam having come directly out of the Rhodesian way where we had many American Marines and other volunteers. I remember also attending Hyland Heights Baptist Church where he and his wife attended. I am so glad I found his obituary and am able to add just a small remembrance to his wonderful life and service for this amazing country.
