Age 54, passed away at her home on March 18, 2024. She was born in Kalamazoo on June 30, 1969, the daughter of Richard and Ruth (Hughes) Thornton. Jackie was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be dearly missed. She had a strong Catholic faith which led her through many trials in life. She was naturally social and with her warm smile made friends easily. She loved NASCAR, was a loyal Jeff Gordon fan, rocked out to Guns and Roses and VanHalen, and never missed a chance to spend the day shopping. She had an artistic spirit and liked arts and crafts projects. Above all Jackie loved her family and her friends and she leaves behind many wonderful memories to cherish. She is survived by her loving mother, Ruth; three children, Amber (Brandon) Goodrich, Jeremy Middlebrooks and Aaron Middlebrooks; four grandchildren, Jaxson, Kayden, and Lincoln Goodrich and Damien Middlebrooks; siblings, Teresa (Ron) Spruill, Leeann Spiegelberg, Kat (David) Blank, Tim Thornton, Debbie (Ron) Kirshman, Lisa Thornton, Dan Thornton; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was preceded in passing by her father, Richard, a brother, Kevin Thornton.
