Age 84 of Portage passed away Wednesday morning, October 29, 2025. Jim was born in Dayton, TN, on December 18, 1940, the son of Charles and Hazel (Walker) Wilkey. On September 8, 1973, he married Nancy Sue Smith who preceded him in death in 2021. Jim was a huge fan of the Detroit Tigers and Lions. Jim was an avid landscaper and gardener. He loved detailing his vehicles. He liked playing solitaire and gin rummy. At his residence, he enjoyed his table friends and playing Bingo. Jim was a hard-working guy and was devoted to his family. He missed Nancy and he will be missed by his family who loved him very much. Jim is survived by his children, William “Wade” Wilkey, Walter (Shelley) Wilkey, Jason (Selena) Wilkey and Andrea (Ronald) Klotz; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; nieces and nephews; and many friends. Besides his wife, Jim was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harold Wilkey; sister, Dorothy Wilson.
