Jim will be laid to rest on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in Hicks Cemetery, Watson Twp. The cemetery is located on the corner of 14th St. and 117th St., Martin, MI (14th St. is off of M-222.) A Celebration of Life with refreshments will follow the graveside service at Watson Township Hall, 1895 118th Ave., Martin. Memorial contributions may be made to Great Lakes Center for Autism Treatment and Research, c/o the funeral home.

Age 53, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022. Jim was born in Kalamazoo, on October 21, 1968, the son of Thomas and Mary Lucile (Delbridge) Travis. Jim enjoyed camping. He was an avid snow-skier and liked sprint car racing. Jim worked at Kalamazoo Outdoor Gourmet as a welder building outdoor kitchen equipment. His co-workers will miss him. Jim also enjoyed being a step-father and was a wonderful grandpa! Jim is survived by his son, William Thomas Travis; step-daughter, Leanne (Kevin) Sinkler; step-grandchildren, Kevin and Aleiyah; brothers, Kenneth Travis and Gordon Travis; sister, Becky (Greg) George; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lyle Travis and Charles Travis; sister, Beverly Travis.
