Cremation has taken place, and he will be laid to rest at Ft. Custer National Cemetery on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. (family and friends are invited to gather in the Ft. Custer assembly area at 2:15 p.m.). Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice c/o the funeral home.

Age 64, passed away on March 6, 2024, at his home in Kalamazoo. He was born in Milwaukee, WI, on July 25, 1959, the son of the late Wayne and Mary L. (Scoville) Hanson. Jeff is survived by his loving children, Amanda Hanson, Jessica (Dane) Van Dyk, Michael Hanson and Thor Hanson; grandchildren, Lillian, Owen, Nora, Nolan and Savannah; siblings, John (Patty) Hanson, Julie Hanson, Joel (Esperanza) Hanson; aunt, Donna Hanson; uncle, Mike (Carolyn) Rice; many other extended family and friends. Jeff was kind, loving and generous. He cared for his family and his friends, and he will be missed by those who loved him. He was dedicated to his country and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy. He returned to make Kalamazoo his home and worked as a car salesman for several years. Jeff leaves behind many memories that will be cherished by those who loved him.
