Age 71, passed away unexpectedly at home in Portage on February 1, 2018. She was born on March 3, 1946, in Manila, Philippines, the daughter of Jose and Marcosa (Basona) Clemente Sr. Josefina was a kind and caring woman who loved others. She had a teacher’s spirit and worked as a 6th grade educator. She enjoyed cooking and loved spending time in her garden. Above all, Josefina loved her family, was a faithful wife, dedicated mother and grandmother. She leaves her family and friends with many wonderful memories to cherish. On May 1, 1976, she married Olimpio Mendoza who survives. She is also survived by a daughter, Rona (Jeremy) Andrick; a son, Karlo (Karla) Mendoza; four grandchildren, Angel Luna, Jaelyn, Aiden and Yzobelle Andrick; two siblings, Benjamin and Reodique Clemente; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in passing by her parents; two brothers, Rodolfo Clemente and Florencio Clemente; and a son, John Paulo.
