Age 85, passed away at Lakeview Bronson Hospital in Paw Paw, MI, on August 15, 2023, in the company of her loving daughter. She was born in Chicago, IL, on January 3, 1938, the daughter of the late Frederick and Lillian (Schranz) Schroeder. Joyce grew up in the City of Chicago. Her favorite childhood memories were the times she spent on the playground near her grade school, Agassiz Elementary.
On April 27, 1957, she married the love of her life, Frank J. Huck, who preceded her in passing. After living in Chicago for 13 years, they would make their home in Lake Geneva, WI.
Joyce was kind, gracious, and loving. Her warm smile, wonderful sense of humor and forgiving nature made her a pleasure to know; she will be missed by those who loved her. Joyce worked hard to provide a welcoming home and was most happy when it was filled with family and friends. She had a strong sense of faith and loved attending church. She was classy, always up on current affairs and the latest fashions, but never took herself too seriously. She loved watching her children grow and have families of their own. She was most proud of her children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter, and leaves behind many wonderful memories to cherish.
Joyce is survived by three children, Laura (John) Greiner, Timothy (Lori) Huck, Gerald (Alison) Huck; grandchildren, Christopher (Michelle) Greiner, David Greiner, Jenna (Tyler Upston) Greiner, Sarah (Scott Bowles) Huck, Jordan Huck, Bailey (Michael) Monteiro; great-granddaughter, Geneva Monteiro; brother, Robert Schroeder; many nieces, nephews and friends.
