Age 70, of Schoolcraft, passed away on September 23, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Karen was born on January 17, 1955, in Kalamazoo, MI, and grew up with the loving care of her adoptive parents. She was kind, strong-willed and a joy to know. She worked for many years at K-Mart where she made friends with customers and coworkers. She always enjoyed her monthly lunch date with the “K-Mart” ladies, a tradition she continued even after the store closed. She was also a member of the Eagles Lodge and enjoyed socializing there. She was an animal lover and cared for her two cats, “Willow” and “Elmer”. Karen enjoyed family gatherings and was especially proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her smile and laughter will be missed by all who loved her. She is survived by her husband Kent Dunn; stepchildren, Jeremy and Angela Dunn; son-in-law, Greg Peck; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was preceded in passing by her parents; a sister, Joan Bero and a daughter, Autumn Sunnock.
