Drake Rd., Kalamazoo, on Friday, June 4, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. Friends may call on the family one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Bible Church, c/o of the funeral home

Age 90, passed away early Friday afternoon, May 21, 2021. Katheryn was born in Memphis, TN, on January 7, 1931, the daughter of Willis A. and Aree (Wheeler) Munn. Katheryn worked for many years at Borgess Hospital, as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Prior to this she also worked at Crump Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Harper Hospital in Detroit and Detroit Receiving Hospital. Katheryn accepted Christ at the age of 13 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Memphis and she was a long-time member of Calvary Bible Church. Her passions were studying the Bible, traveling and quilting. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Katheryn is survived by her sons, Karl (Pela Leatherman) Munn of Kalamazoo, Harold (Kathy) Gleaves of Lawton and Cedric (Bettina) Crump of Baltimore, MD; grandchildren, Tarico Crump, Jasmine Crump, Tiera Crump, Karlissia Munn, Twyla Leatherman, Brian (Latoya) Gleaves, Hope Gleaves; great-grandchildren, Tarico Jr., Jalen, Israel, Jamaria, Jazarah, Kamille, Teiniya; brothers, Herbert Munn of Memphis, TN, Robert (Vanessa) Munn of Nashville, TN; sisters, Joyce Faulkner and Faye Knowles, both of Las Vegas, NV; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Thomas Munn and Willis Munn.
