Age 73 of Portage passed away Friday November 28, 2025 at Brookdale Assisted Living. Kathy was born December 29, 1951 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Charles and Alice (Flora) Bennett. She graduated from Portage Northern High School and attended St. Monica Catholic Church and she enjoyed gardening, cooking and hiking. On June 5, 1971 in Kalamazoo Kathy was united in marriage to George Gianakis who survives. Also surviving are four children, George (Melanie) Gianakis, Amie (Frank) Caruso, Tony (Danielle) Gianakis, Stephanie (Shaun) Lehmkuhl; 12 grandchildren; two sisters, Christine (Tim) Skinner, Suzanne (Jim Noel) Bennett; one brother, Charles (Sherry) Bennett. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Debbie King.
