Age 45, passed away at Bronson Methodist Hospital on April 14, 2021. Ken was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on April 26, 1975. He was an avid sports fan and loved to coach basketball. Ken was also a devoted Detroit Lions and Tigers fan, as well as a fan of U of M sports. His family was always at the center of his world and he enjoyed spending as much time with them as he could. Ken was an exceptional grandfather and uncle. He will be missed by all who knew him. Ken is survived by his fiancé, Tosha Miller; parents, Diana (Roe) Searles and Kenneth (Sandra) Searles; brother, Jason (Kayla) Searles; daughters, Lexi, Aspen, Jessica and Karlie; grandchildren, Lucas, Mia, Aurora, Amira, Phoenix and baby Bell-Nall on the way; nephews, Jakub and Keegan; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins; and many close friends. A celebration of Ken’s life will take place on Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 1:00 – 5:00 PM at Kindleberger Park in Parchment (Pavilions 4 & 5). Memorial contributions may be made to the Kalamazoo YMCA Youth Basketball Program.
