Linda Lou Louvena Bockover, age 87, joyfully joined her Savior on Aug 10, 2025. Although those who loved her will mourn our loss we know that she is healthy, whole, and reunited with those she dearly loves.

Born on August 31, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois, Linda was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother of a devoted family. She was the cherished daughter of Harold and Louvena Miller, and the loving sister of her brothers, William and Monte. She met her husband Leonard in 1953 at Kresge 5 and Dime where they both worked. Len would always chuckle when telling how they met and say “I got my million dollar baby at the 5 and Dime.” They married in 1955 and worked on a lifetime of devotion to each other and raising a loving family.

Throughout her life, Linda was known for her deep love of family, strong work ethic, continuous energy, creativity, and her faith. She loved to travel the country with Len- in the younger years it was cross country camping trips with her brother and friends, and in the later years it was snow birding in Florida and Arizona. They spent cherished time with dear life-time friends Lorraine and Ger. She was never still, always cooking something delicious for her 8 grandchildren, including a special birthday cake each year, taking care of her flowers, chasing great-grandkids and crafting. She spent countless hours drawing, creating beautiful ceramics and intricate embroidery. She was always up for learning a new craft. While snow birding in Arizona she took up loom knitting and joined a group Len affectionately called the “Happy Hookers”. Her artistic spirit extended beyond her work with her hands to the joyful memories she created with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She could also frequently be found spending time in her Bible, grounding herself in faith and prayer.

She is survived by her most beloved daughters, Gay Bockover and Kelly (Randy) Dunn, her loving daughter-in-law Dawn Bockover, her brother Monte (Phyllis) Miller, her 8 grandchildren and her 14 great-grandchildren. She is proceeded in death by her husband of 60 years, Leonard, her son Guy Bockover, her brother William Miller and her parents. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who were blessed to call her family and friend.
