Age 70, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, June 5, 2023. Marian was born in Allegan, Michigan on September 21, 1952, the daughter of the late Clinton R. and Harriet J. (Fuller) Shoemaker. On May 15, 1998, she married Jed M. Peterson, who survives. Marian is also survived by her children, Tammy McClendon, Elizabeth McClendon and Paul (Devi) Davis; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her sister, Gail (Dan) Fruehauf. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ernie McClendon; grandson, Andrew McClendon and six siblings. Marian was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by her family and friends. She enjoyed genealogy research and gardening. A committal service will be held at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan on Monday, June 19, 2023 at 11:30 AM (those planning to attend should meet at the funeral assembly area of the cemetery by 11:15 AM). Memorial contributions in Marian’s memory may be given to Compassus Hospice.
