Debbie, I am so sorry to hear of Mark's passing. He was such a great guy and will be missed by many. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I was stunned to learn of Mark's passing. My family has known Mark, Debbie, and JD for many years. They live in our neighborhood and we would see Mark on many walks by our house. Years ago, I enjoyed coaching against him at West Portage Little League as our sons JD and Ryan played baseball for several years. Mark was not only an outstanding coach but the type of man any parent would be proud to have their son or daughter have as a coach. He was always so nice and humble to myself, Ryan, and my teams. Our condolences to Debbie, JD, Ashley, and the entire Buursma family. The world has lost a great father and grandfather. Our hearts are heavy knowing what he meant to so many people in a life ended far too early.

We are saddened by Mark's passing. Had so much fun in our earlier years playing basketball and attending various events. Mark was always upbeat and fun. So glad we were friends. All good memories. Prayers out and God Bless the family.

I had worked with Mark off and on at Schawk over the past 20 or so years and could not have met a nicer more genuine man. He was always smiling and really enjoyed discussing his family, whom you could tell he was so proud of. It was very sad to hear of his passing and my prayers are with you in the hardest of times. We truly lost a good guy!

I worked with Mark at Schawk for many years and not only thought of him as a workmate but a friend, he was looked up to and liked by everyone there, one of those guys that seemed to have everything going in the right direction! He always spoke so highly of Debbie, Josh and Ashley and his adorable grandkids. You can sure tell how much a person was liked and looked up to by reading these tributes and Mark was that guy! RIP my friend.
