Age 70, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2020. Marlou was born in Flint, MI, on June 20, 1949, the daughter of Luther Graham and Margaret (Diehl) Augsbury. On October 11, 1975, she married Peter W. Walker who survives her. Marlou graduated from J.W. Sexton High School in Lansing in 1967. She was employed for many years with the Michigan Secretary of State. Marlou was also a professional poodle breeder. She had a number of world champions, national champion and had also received many show awards throughout the Mid-west and East. She had a true passion for her poodles and had published articles in various dog magazines. Marlou was an expert on poodles and their breeding lines. She had also been active in Poodle Club of America, the Michigan Poodle Club, and the Brown and Apricot Poodle Club. She was generous with the local humane societies and dog shelters in Southern and Southwest Michigan. Marlou was raised in Vernon, MI, and attended the United Methodist Church there. She also spent many summers in her youth and as an adult at Higgins Lake. Besides her loving husband of 45 years, she is survived by her other passion, her son Travis; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; her loving mother, Margaret Augsbury; sisters, Beverly Padilla, Diane Pepper and soul-sister Roxie Sargent; many nieces and nephews and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her father, and her grandparents, Wesley and Leona Diehl and Rosco and Olive Augsbury.
