Age 80, passed away at Bronson Hospital on August 22, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Newberry, MI, on February 12, 1943, the daughter of the late Sanford and Agnes (Henschel) McKenzie. Mary Lou was a kind, loving and faithful person who lived her life to the fullest. She had a strong faith in the Lord and was a member of Gracesprings Bible Church. She worked hard to provide a happy home for those she loved and all were made to feel welcome there. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with passion. She was involved with their activities and sports events and took an interest in their growth. Mary Lou rarely backed down from a challenge and never stopped challenging herself. She was a wonderful seamstress, had an eye for interior decorating, was a master with heavy tools, landscaping and crafting. Above all, Mary Lou loved her family, and she leaves behind a legacy that will be remembered by those who loved her. On October 2, 1961, she married the love of her life, Robert E. Lee, who preceded her in passing in 2009. She was also preceded in passing by sisters, Barbara Brown and Gail Brown. She is survived by her loving children, Kelly (Tom) Haggard, Chris (Barb) Lee, Cindy (James) Denaway, Kenneth (Lori) Lee; grandchildren, Clay and Paige Haggard, Jason and Amber Lee, Zach and Adam Denaway, Bailey, Maeve, Ethan, Chelsea Lee; great-grandchildren, Isabelle Losiewski, Harrison Lee, Elo Whitehead and Logan Lee; siblings, Pauline Glenn, Clara Kleeman, Linda Bunch, Mick McKenzie and John Brown; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
