Age 62, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023. Mike was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on April 24, 1961, the son of Robert and Alberta (Baas) Skinner. He was a life-time area resident and graduated from Gull Lake High School. Mike was the owner and operator of his own painting business. He loved snowmobiling, boating and watching NASCAR. Mike is survived by his father and step-mother, Robert and Barbara Skinner; daughters, Heather Wolf and Katie Skinner; sister, Rhonda Breon; twin-brother, Richard Skinner; half-sister, Melanie Krieg; step-sister, Heidi Laser; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Alberta and step-brother, Jeff Sternburgh. A celebration of Michael’s life will take place on Saturday, December 9, 2023 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at the Weatherstone Village Clubhouse, 5210 Marsh Arbor Trail, Kalamazoo, MI 49004. Interment will be at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park – South.
