Age 68, passed away peacefully with his family beside him on December 14, 2023. He was born in Detroit, MI, on June 16, 1955, the son of the late Seymour and Roslyn (Daniels) Beare. On September 20, 2003, he married the love of his life Janie and together they shared three beautiful daughters, Corinne (David) Satterlee, Merideth (Keith) Beare, Mikki (Omar) Khayyam; five grandchildren, Shaina, Mason, Carlie, Jane and Tray. He is also survived by his brother, Les (Kim) Beare; sister, Cindy (Al) Dorton. Mitch graduated from Western Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in business.  His career started at the University, first as a student dishwasher and later as the head of the usher corps and ticket office at Miller Auditorium. Eventually he retired as the operations manager of the Bernhard Center; in all spending over 35 years at WMU. When not working, he loved going for long rides on the Michigan backroads and listening to “oldies”. He also enjoyed playing cards, watching football and building Metal Models and spending time at the Portage Senior Center. Above all he enjoyed spending time with his family and was especially proud of his children and grandchildren.
