A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church, 3706 Mt Olivet Rd, Kalamazoo. Friends may call on the family following the service at the church. Pal will be laid to rest next to Pete at Comstock Cemetery, Comstock. Memorial contributions may be made to Centrica Care Navigators, c/o the funeral home.

Age 96 of Kalamazoo passed away Wednesday afternoon, April 9, 2025. Pal was born in Kalamazoo on February 4, 1929, the daughter of Nicolas and Mary (Rizzuto) Salvaggio. On August 9, 1947, she married Norman Richard “Pete” Gale who preceded her in death in 1989. Pal worked for over 30 years for Triple SSS Plastics Company, having been their first employee. She loved her yard and flowers. After Pete passed away, she enjoyed traveling with her kids. She liked playing Bingo. Pal was a long-time member of Temple Baptist Church. Pal is survived by her children, Norman (Anne) Gale Jr., Michael (Valerie) Gale, Tena (Scott) Blayden, Rosalie Slack, Catherine (Don) Buyce, Leonard Gale; ten grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, Rose (Gary) Sharrard; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. Besides her husband Pal was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Frank, Tony and Carl Salvaggio; sisters, Josephine and Bernice.
