Paul will be laid to rest in a graveside service with full military honors at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, 15501 Dickman Rd., Augusta, on Monday, July 1, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. Those wishing to attend should meet in the cortege assembly area of the cemetery at 2:15 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrier Project, in c/o the funeral home.

Age 71, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024. Paul was born in Kalamazoo on August 8, 1952, the son of Alan Luther and Virginia (Dunning) Cochran. On July 15, 1995, he married Monica Barrett, who survives him. Paul was fluent in English, Spanish and French. He worked for many years for the Department of Defense in the Federal Center. He proudly served his nation in the United States Marine Corps and the Air National Guard. Paul was also a devotee of Shakespeare. Above all, he was a good man, a good provider and a good husband. Besides his wife, Paul is survived by his daughter, Valerie Cochran of Georgia, son, Andrew (Lindsey) Cochran of Germany; granddaughters, Fiona and Chiara; sister, Sharon Tolis; three nieces; and many friends. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; and his loyal dog, Semper Fi.
