Age 75, of Kalamazoo, MI, passed away at Centrica Rose Arbor Place on July 3, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Kalamazoo, MI, on May 10, 1950, the son of the late Donald and Betty (Henry) Blue. He grew up in Kalamazoo and graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School Class of 1968. He furthered his education and received a bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University in 1972. He began working for American Invesco which took him to many new cities. Later, he returned to Kalamazoo and worked for Community Healing. When not working Richard loved spending time with his family including his son Ryan and brother Ron and made many special memories with his close friend Tom Schmitt. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching ESPN. Richard’s smile and laughter will be missed by all who loved him. He is survived by his loving son, Ryan (Kylee) Blue, grandchildren, Oliver and Sutton Blue; brother Ronald Blue; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
